The AusCycling MTB & CX National Series came to town last weekend at Dunc Gray Velodrome for Round 7 & 8. We had 3 crossers line up to represent SSCC for a fun and twisty day of bike riding.

Annabelle Hunt won the U13 Girls on Saturday in her first ever CX race, including carrying her MTB up 30 stairs. Her bike is half her body weight at 15kg! She backed it up with gold again on Sunday.

Rowan Davis, while battling a broken toe, rode in the M3 (40-44) category, finishing 8th on Saturday and 9th on Sunday. A commendable effort considering he couldn’t get up on his toes for the climbs as the pain was terrible.

Jeff Hunt lined up in the M3 category as well, finishing 2nd on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday.
